“What Makes It Youth Fiction?”

Presented by Rosanne Parry

Everyone knows Young Adult, or YA, is a hot market. It’s hard to beat middle grade fiction for longevity, but what makes a book work for kids, tweens and teens? Rosanne Parry will take a detailed look at voice in young characters and the information you need to succeed in the young readers market.

Rosanne Parry is the author of SECOND FIDDLE, an Indy Next Pick for Spring 2011, and HEART OF A SHEPHERD, which is on the 2011 Oregon Readers Choice Award List. She has 2 more novels forthcoming from Random House. Rosanne lives in Portland with her family. More info at
